The British Royal Family recently released new pictures of Princess Charlotte. Let’s look back at other members of the British Royal Family when they were young.
Queen Elizabeth II (born April 21, 1926)
You might not recognize her, but here’s a young Queen Elizabeth II, back when she was still a Princess. She’s here with her parents, the Duke and Duchess of York at that time, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and later still, The Queen Mother. Her grandmother, Queen Mary, is in one of the pictures. Her pony, Peggy, is in another picture.
No one knew then that Elizabeth would one day be Queen! Her grandfather, King George V, was on the throne, and her uncle, Edward, was the heir apparent.
Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon (born Aug. 21, 1930)
Princess Margaret was the Queen’s younger sister. A very glamourous woman. She passed away on February 9, 2002 after a period of ill health.
Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh (born June 10, 1921)
Here’s a young Prince Philip, back when he was a Prince of Greece and Denmark, like his father. Prince Philip has always been super-handsome his whole life – even as a baby!
Charles, Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay (born November 14, 1948)
First born, Prince Charles. It must’ve been a great day for his parents when he was born. The heir to the throne has arrived!
Anne, Princess Royal (born August 15, 1950)
Here is Anne with her mother, then Princess Elizabeth. She has that very pale blonde hair like her father.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York (born Feb. 19, 1960)
The Duke of York was a happy, chubby baby! Just adorable! The heir & the spare have now both arrived! The crown is secure!
Prince Edward, Earl of Sussex (born March 10, 1964)
Prince Edward was born just in time to have some color photos taken! He is the shy member of the family. He’s also the only one of the Queen’s children to not get a divorce.
Lady Diana Spencer, The Princess of Wales (born July 1, 1961)
Diana was the first wife of Prince Charles and the mother of Princes William and Harry. Diana and Charles married in 1981 and divorced in 1996, 15 years later. She passed away in an auto accident on August 31, 1997.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge (born June 21, 1982)
The second in line to the throne after Prince Charles. He already has two children of his own – the heir and the spare – Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Prince Henry of Wales aka Prince Harry (born Sept. 15, 1984)
Now fifth in line to the throne, Prince Harry is a very active royal. He supports many veteran related programs and events. He has a love for South Africa, and promotes education and conservation there.
